By definition, self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's own health. As women, we’re constantly told to “fill our own cup” or “put your oxygen mask on first”. In a survey, 80% of women admitted that doing something for themselves (like savoring an aromatic bath, enjoying a hobby, or taking a walk) would make them feel relaxed and refreshed. Yet, alarmingly, a third of the women surveyed spent 30 minutes or fewer minutes a day doing nurturing activities just for themselves.
Women serve, lead, and love everyone except themselves which leads to burnout, exhaustion, stress, excess body fat, anxiety, depression, illness, and more.
Prioritizing your self-care does not mean sacrificing what you can care for others. In fact, prioritizing your self-care will help you show up better for others.
During this Leadership Lab, you’ll learn the strategy that will allow you to be and do everything while also taking care of yourself.
