Put on your pink, grab a tasty drink and join me, a Brem Survivor Champion and a International Association Board Member, this Wednesday, May 5th, for an informative and empowering hour! 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Though breast cancer rates are the same for many women, breast cancer death rates are 40% higher among women of color.  I am passionate and supportive of all women in need of health services when diagnosed with breast cancer. The event will feature Senator Shelley Moore Capito, who helped introduce the Protecting Access to Lifesaving Screenings (PALS) Act of 2019, and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who underwent seven surgeries related to breast cancer while maintaining her responsibilities as a member of the House and promoted efforts for early screening for breast cancer. Senator Capito and Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz will highlight breast cancer legislation, the power of using one's voice, and why advocacy is so important. Registration is Free and required. NBC4 Anchor, Yun Yang will Moderate the event. Gather your girlfriends and  learn how to advocate for your wellness. It will be a Powerful hour you will not want to miss.
